ELECTIVE SURGERY PATIENTS: Patients undergoing an elective surgical procedure are at HIGH risk of developing a blood clot.
POST-SURGICAL DEATH: VTE is a significant cause of: potentially preventable post-surgical death, disabling post-thrombotic syndrome.
