The APAC Forum has become one of the largest health improvement conferences in the world and allows delegates to hear from improvement leaders and network with colleagues from around the globe. While, it is not possible for everyone to make the trip over to Sydney this year – that should not mean you miss out on the opportunity to collaborate, share knowledge and learn… So in 2016, InSight from APAC Forum will continue to explore new frontiers in a New Zealand context.
Just like the annual APAC Forum event, InSight from APAC Forum has been designed to unite global thought leaders to:
- inspire every person working in health
- stimulate cross-sectorial and multi-disciplinary dialogue
- nurture knowledge transfer
- design and share best practice
- enable each and every delegate to become a catalyst for change
Seven speakers will continue on to New Zealand to share the highlights of the sessions they delivered in Australia. One of these speakers, Professor Sir Mansel Aylward, will deliver the inaugural Paul Stevenson Memorial Lecture; this is in memory of Paul who died suddenly from meningococcal meningitis in 1987 and whose Trust has since that time supported New Zealand health and medicine by sponsoring many medical people in valuable pursuits.
In addition, a number of students from the Engineering School at the University of Auckland will share their ideas on improvement and innovation in short, sharp talks.
The day will then be closed with a late afternoon reception, which will be attended by esteemed guest David Mace (Chairman of the Freemasons Roskill Foundation), and provides delegates the opportunity to network and discuss learnings from the day.
