What is a transformathon?
It’s a 24 hour continuous event that can be accessed online, live or via a recording post event, that allows you to connect with improvement leaders from around the world; international experts who are determined to transform health and care systems for the betterment of our populations. It provides another opportunity for change-makers to unite and learn from each other, sharing knowledge, and inspiring you to think differently.
Ko Awatea are delighted to have been asked to present at the NHS Transformation on 28th January. Renee Greaves, Patient and Whaanau Advisor, and Ria Byron, Improvement Lead Patient Experience will run a session on co-design. Alex Nicholas (Project Manager) and youth leaders from Handle the Jandal, a Polynesian youth-led campaign aimed at enhancing youth mental health and wellbeing, are sharing their learning about using community organising approaches to do this.
You can join Alex Nicholas, Ko Awatea’s Project Manager, Community Organising, and the Youth Leaders from our ‘Handle the Jandal’ campaign on 28th January, 3pm-4pm NZ time (2am-3am GMT), as they present ‘Letting Go of Power to Build Power: Enhancing Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing’.
Some of our Patient Experience team, Renee Greaves, Patient and Whaanau Advisor, and Ria Byron, Improvement Lead Patient Experience, will present ‘Is Co-Design a True Collaboration?’ directly afterwards at 4pm-5pm NZ time (3am-4am GMT).
During the 24 hour Transformathon, you will also have the opportunity to learn about crowdsourcing, gamification, design thinking, working collaboratively and more.
To get involved, simply register for the event here, set some time aside in your diary and make the time to learn at your leisure!
