Jonathon has more than twenty years experience in the field of health and is an expert in healthcare improvement and innovative service development. Currently he is the Director of Ko Awatea, building world class improvement capacity to drive local and national change.
Alongside that role Jonathon is the Professor of Health Innovation and Improvement at Victoria University of Wellington, with visiting Chairs at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and Cardiff University, as well as being a past Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and a current Fellow at Oxford Centre for Healthcare Transformation. Jonathon has a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard University.
Previously as a joint Director of the 1000 Lives Campaign, he was responsible for a two-year programme aimed at improving patient safety and healthcare quality throughout the NHS in Wales.
