St Vincent’s cancer centre consists of outpatient cancer clinics, a chemotherapy day unit and the cancer centre pharmacy. The cancer centre has 5,900 clinic appointments every year and makes 5,000 chemotherapy treatments for haematology and oncology patients. Oncology patients are seen in the outpatient clinic and given treatment (if required) in the chemo-therapy day unit on the same day. Haematology patients generally have their clinic appointments and treatment on different days.
