Keynote Speakers include:
Donald M. Berwick, MD, MPP, FRCP, is the former President and CEO of IHI, an organisation that he co-founded and led for over 20 years. In July 2010, President Obama appointed Dr. Berwick to the position of Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, a position he held until December 2011. A pediatrician by background, Dr. Berwick has served on the faculty of the Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health, and on the staffs of Boston’s Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, USA.
Harry Pert, MD, is a General Practitioner practicing in Rotorua, New Zealand. He is a visionary leader with a record of experience and leadership in both the College and Independent Practitioners’ Associations (IPAs). He founded one of the most innovative and successful IPAs in New Zealand, and has been a member of Royal New Zealand College of General Practice’s quality committee and Council. He has a reputation for innovation and open mindedness and is passionate about making a difference in general practice.
